I have over 25 years of experience in the assessment of individuals.   I work for many leading firms of solicitors as an expert witness across a broad range of areas in psychology. My specialist areas of interest are autism, ADHD, dyslexia, neuropsychological assessment, mental health and employee assessment. I have extensive experience in neuropsychological and mental health assessment. I was Managing Director of the most prominent Black and Ethnic Minority Mental Health Trust in Europe and have worked in many senior leadership roles.  My extensive experience includes advising the Crown Prosecution Service, leading criminal defence lawyers, the Government Legal Department, The Ethical Standards Commissioner, The Cabinet Office, Central Government, HM Prison Service, The Parole Board, the Probation Service, the Legal Aid Agency, HM Courts and Tribunal Service, the Department of Health, Public Health England, the Academy of Royal Medical Colleges, NHS trusts, local authorities, insurers, universities, businesses, and private clients.   As an expert in numerous cases, I have provided independent assessments of mental health, learning disabilities in personal injury, criminal, employment, and family cases.

I am an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society and a full member of their Divisions of Neuropsychology and Occupational Psychology.  In addition, I am an associate member of the British Psychological Society's Divisions of Clinical Psychology and Forensic Psychology.  I am a member of the Institute of Directors, the Academy of Experts, and the Society for Occupational Medicine.  As an expert, I have provided reports for the High Court, the Central Criminal Court, Employment Tribunals, the Special Educational Needs and Disability Tribunal, the Family Court, and the County Court.  I frequently deal with high value claims, high net worth individuals, cases of serious crime such as murder or terrorism and catastrophic injury. I am an unregistered barrister and the Chief Executive of Advanced Assessments Ltd.

I worked for the Inner London Education Authority Schools Psychology Service before moving on to become Director of Islington Educational Guidance Centre. I was a visiting Professor at Syracuse University, a visiting Professor at Middlesex University and a visiting Professor at Canterbury Christ Church University. I am a founding member of the Professional Development Foundation, which develops accredited awards at masters and doctorate levels and provides research. I was the Research Director for the International Centre for the Study of Coaching. I worked as a Senior Lecturer in Clinical Psychology at Middlesex Hospital/University College London responsible for training psychiatrists and psychologists in case formation. I was the former Research Director of the International Centre for the Study of Coaching at Middlesex University. I have been a consultant on organisational development for more than 100 companies and a coach for senior management for over 40 years. I am a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.

Since 1998 I have provided therapy and court reports. I am a member of the British Psychological Society’s (BPS) Register of Applied Psychology Practice Supervisors. I was the chair of the BPS Register of Psychologists Specialising in Psychotherapy. I hold a doctorate in clinical psychology.

I hold a doctorate in educational psychology. I am the Director of Fafiki Educational Psychology Services, I worked as a senior educational psychologist for Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council. I have also worked as the Deputy Executive Director of the Challenor Centre and as a special needs teacher. I am the president of the Association of Black Psychologists (UK Chapter).

I have worked as an educational psychologist for 17 years and have been involved in managing and developing a team of educational psychologists. My focus has been on helping to remove barriers to learning. I have experience drafting and advising on Education and Health Care Plans. I am skilled at administering a range of assessments.

I was responsible for rolling out an Attachment Aware Trauma Informed practice to help schools understand how the behaviour of children and young people is understood. I have coached schools on managing challenging behaviour. I am an ardent supporter of the rights of people with disabilities, and I work with children who are at risk of exclusion.

I am an independent Chartered Clinical Psychologist with over ten years of qualified experience working with adults presenting with mild, moderate, and severe mental health problems. I have significant experience completing psychology reports for family and civil court purposes. Reports include personal injury, medical negligence, Intellectual functioning, and capacity. I have significant experience in assessing personality functioning, risk, issues of domestic violence, trauma, substance misuse, and self-harm, and providing treatment recommendations.

I have assessed and treated clients in primary and secondary care mental health services, drawing upon cognitive-behavioural and schema therapy approaches. I hold a doctorate in clinical psychology. I previously held the roles of Principal Clinical Psychologist for Dudley and Walsall Mental Health Trust and Senior Clinical Psychologist for Birmingham Healthy Minds.
