Multidisciplinary Autism Assessments Across the United Kingdom
Evidence‑based diagnostics for all ages, genders, and ethnic groups
1 Overview
Advanced Assessments Ltd delivers comprehensive, multidisciplinary diagnostic evaluations for Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) to children, young people, and adults throughout England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland. Our clinical, educational, occupational, and forensic psychologists work alongside consultant psychiatrists to provide NICE‑compliant assessments (NICE, 2016; NICE, 2022). Clients who do not wish to book a multidiscplinary autism asssessment can still request an autism assessment by a single psychologist or psychiatrist.
2 Why Choose Advanced Assessments Ltd?
Benefit | Rationale | Empirical Support |
---|---|---|
Comprehensive formulation | Autism is heterogeneous; a team approach distinguishes ASC from ADHD, intellectual disability, trauma, and mental‑health conditions. | Mandy & Lai, 2016; Lord et al., 2022 |
Enhanced diagnostic validity | Two independent clinicians administer the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule‑2 (ADOS‑2) and/or Autism Diagnostic Interview‑Revised (ADI‑R), minimising false results. | Lord et al., 2022 |
Actionable, holistic recommendations | Cognitive, communicative, sensory, and adaptive profiles underpin tailored interventions at home, school, university, or work. | Lord et al., 2022 |
Legal defensibility | Consensus opinions from multiple regulated experts carry greater weight in SEND tribunals and courts. | Brett et al., 2016 |
Cultural‑linguistic interpreters and culturally normed psychometrics are available to ensure equitable access for all ethnic communities (World Health Organization, 2023).

10 Frequently Asked Questions
How quickly can I be seen?
Same‑week appointments are often available; reports issue within 4 working weeks (or 7 days with an expedited package).
Is an online assessment as accurate as face‑to‑face?
Yes. A systematic review found tele‑health assessments achieve comparable diagnostic accuracy and acceptability (Parsons et al., 2019).
Will my report be accepted by the NHS or Local Authority?
Our methodologies follow NICE guidance and are routinely accepted by NHS services, local authorities, and educational institutions.
Do you assess women and girls who ‘mask’ their autism?
Absolutely. Our clinicians are trained in gender‑informed assessment and use tools validated for female presentations (Hull et al., 2020).
